You Are What You Eat

You are what you eat, that's why nutrition is so important in your daily life. From things like red meat and fish, to things like fruits and vegetables, this all affect how our body's functions. A healthy diet keeps your body in tip-top shape. You see, your body is just like a a car. If you take care of your car, then it will run properly. If you give it its regularly scheduled tune-ups, its tire changes, etc., then the car will run properly. Same thing with the human body. If you have regular check-ups, eat healthy, and exercise regularly, then you will maintain a healthy body. But, we don't do that; we eat things like junk food, fast food, processed food, and any other "CRAP" that people sell to us and we think is good.
People these days are so brain washed into thinking that eating out is a healthy thing. They think that if a burger has tomatoes, lettuce, and onion then its good for you. They think that since a pizza has pineapple, mushrooms, and peppers that its healthy. In reality there not, because the meats and bread the use are all processed, and there vegetables are contaminated with pesticides. We should eat things that are organic and home made. Things like soups, grains, beans, and salads that are full of protein and vitamins that is good for our bodies.

My Vacation

I think I had a pretty fun winter break this year. One thing that i did was that i started to learn how to drive. My dad started to take me around East La to learn how to drive. The first day he took me to ELAC's huge parking to learn how to park in the spaces. Parking in those straight parking spaces was easy but parallel parking was pretty hard. It was style really fun. One low thing about this my break would probably that when it was Christmas at my uncle's house the power went out so we had to do everything in the dark. Opening presents wasn't as fun. Finding the food was also really hard. And using the restroom was also was a pain the behind….. literally.
One goal that I have set for myself this year is that I want to get my permit and my car already.  Don’t want to be getting rides from people anymore. I want to be more independent and be able to go to places. I want to go to college in my car and not take the bus. I want to go Big Bear, or San Bernardino, or to the mall without asking my parents if they can take me. Another goal that I have set for myself is to go to college and graduate with a Bachelor’s at least.
One positive thing about coming back to school is that I get to see my friends. The second thing is that now sometimes when I was home I had nothing to do and I would just lie there bored and frustrated. Now I can actually do something. It might be kind of boring and frustrating in school to but at least I’m doing something

A House Divided Against Itself Cannot Stand

Today Poncho and I will be talking about our thoughts on an interesting quote. “A house divided against itself cannot stand.” By Abraham Lincoln. We believe the quote means that when you work together on any given task you must be united as one or else the whole structure will crumble. When completing an objective you and your team must work together in order to be successful. In reality you and your team are only as strong as your weakest link, so if one person fails then the whole team fails. The United States is a strong nation but slowly becoming more divided. Democrats and Republicans cannot agree on any given idea. They could not agree on the dream act, the national budget, and the war in Afghanistan and Iraq.  A lot of democrats want to pull out our troops and republicans want to stay in there and fix the centralized governments. Our Government came to an understanding. Our Troops are to stay in Afghanistan and continue the fight while, the troops stationed in Iraq will be brought home by late December, just in time for Christmas. The state of our government is debatable; in our opinion as long as our government remains united it is sure to succeed

Network Neutrality VS Network Bias

To first understand "Network Neutrality" we must first know what it is. The term Network Neutrality or Net Neutrality basically states that internet provider can be in favor of a company and against another company. Basically if your the owner of AT&T and you don't want people to be looking at Verizon or Sprint you slow down their websites that way people cant access them. Net Neutrality says that you cant do this and must be equally fair to all web pages. Net Bias states the opposite, that any company can choose to raise or lower speed of each and every website they want. If this is right or wrong is for you to decide.

From my point of view, i think that Network Neutrality is a really good idea. This levels the playing field for everyone. It lets all the small business corporations to have a equal chance with all of the multi-billion dollar corporations. This also eliminates all the bribing that these companies are going to try and do which limits corruption. Over all, Network Neutrality is a good idea; whether the internet companies will decide to  do this is another thing.

Invisible Planes?

When people hear the word stealth airplane they always think invisible or cloaking or something, but in reality what stealth planes are don’t come close to that. A real stealth plane (B -2) is just a combination of real high tech technology. The B - 2 is a US war plane.
It is around 175 feet long, has a really slick and thin frame, and the best radar deflectors there is. In reality, it doesn’t block the radars but it actually deflects them do that the waves never reach were there coming from thus there is no information going to the enemy. The B – 2 can deflect infrared, acoustic, electromagnetic radar waves.
This plane is so advanced in technology since 1988, on 1 has been brought down out of the 20 there are and it was a technical error, not because of combat. The reason there are only 20 is because this plane literally cost hundreds of billions of dollar to make.
In my perspective I think that having this kind of technology is really cool. The thought of having something that huge in size go undetected is amazing. This type of airplane is going to create a brake through for other things that are yet to come in the future. Maybe one day we will have invisible planes.

Resume Vs Cover Letter

A resume is basically something that you send to a company that you are trying to apply to so you can get a job. It’s a type of article that is straight to the point it is a formal type of letter. Some key things that it must have is an objective, your experience, your academics/ awards, and your education. The objective basically states what you are going to bring to the position. Your experience includes what kind of work you have ever done before and if you have done any volunteer work. Your academics/awards has the schools that you have attended and any special honorable awards you earned inside or outside of school. Lastly, your education has all the school you have gone (usually just middle school, high school, and college/university).

A cover letter is more flowing that resume. It has full sentences unlike the resume. Its more letter type because it has a great and actually states why you want the job and everything. It also has a space for experience that you fill with your volunteer work and previous jobs but this one is more in depth. Over all the cover letter is more simple but I personally like the resume better.
